- Learning the genesis of the assessment model, the implementation details for pre-referral and evaluation, the importance of assessment tool selection, and the model’s appropriateness for culturally and linguistically diverse students.
Karen Apgar has been a school psychologist in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and, for the past 17 years, Oregon. Apgar has served on the Executive Board of the Oregon School Psychologists Association (OSPA) in multiple positions and is currently the Oregon Delegate to the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP). She is the lead school psychologist in the Eugene School District 4J; focusing on issues of learning disabilities, cultural and linguistic diversity, and social justice and systems improvement through organizational development practices.
