The primary objectives of this workshop include:
- Developing Core Mindfulness, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Emotional Regulation, and Distress Tolerance.
- Key behaviors of counselors who use the above interventions.
- Clinical examples of how these concepts relate to school age children with SED, and how to use various clinical scales pragmatically.
Dr. Patrick J. Moran, is a licensed Clinical Psychologist, and School Psychologist has with over 25 years of clinical experience. Dr. Moran has consulted for the CA RTI Task Force, and the CA SLD Advisory Committee. Dr. Moran has been providing training to local SELPA’s regarding school mental health.
