Areas of interest

A child struggling educationally and emotionally can be overwhelming for the child, family, and educational organization. I am so glad that you have found me and I am here to help. I am Dr. Christina Dillard, and I am a Licensed Educational Psychologist, specializing in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), dyslexia, dyscalculia, Autism Spectrum Disorder, depression, anxiety, and motivation issues related to academic learning processes.

Today's political and social climate as well as COVID-19 is challenging to youth and has increased anxiety and depression for children and young adults. I specialize in the educational evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of a variety of disorders that adversely affect a child’s educational performance and emotional wellness in a non-judgemental and safe environment. I work with children ages 7 and up, adolescents, and young adults providing counseling, independent educational evaluations, consultation, and psychoeducational assessments. I typically utilize coping strategies, goal setting, and mindfulness techniques to improve the educational experience and emotional wellbeing in children, adolescents, and young adults.

My work with youth is accompanied with warmth, compassion, and just the right amount of fun and humor to identify their values and goals and to find ways to move towards creating a happier and more hopeful future. People often underestimate the challenge of growing as a youth while struggling with learning problems and mental health concerns. I am here to support, understand, and help youth in developing the tools needed to create better futures. The youth will receive high quality evidence based psychoeducational services uniquely targeted to address the concerns. I provide in person services or telehealth via secure video and telephone so that the youth may get help and support in the environment they prefer. Call or email me today.
