Introduction and Background:

The field of school psychology is continually evolving, with increasing demands on practitioners to manage large caseloads while maintaining quality of work.  This workshop is designed to equip school psychologists with practical tools and strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness through the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced technology techniques using software already available to school psychologist.  By leveraging advanced use of Word, Excel, Outlook, and Google Workspace, psychologists can optimize time, reduce workload stress, and ensure high-quality service delivery to students.

Workshop Objectives:

The primary objective is to provide attendees with actionable skills and knowledge that can be immediately implemented in their professional practice.  Participants will learn to utilize AI and advance software techniques to streamline various aspects of their work, thus enhancing productivity and reducing the risk of burnout.

  • Auto-Text Replacement: Streamlining report writing and email communication.
  • Email Management: Delegate grammar, spelling, and other routine tasks to proven software agents, auto-complete documents, and manage correspondence efficiently.
  • Calendaring and Scheduling: Integrating tools for effective time management and meeting deadlines.
  • Converting and Using Data Visualization: Converting PDFs to editable formats and creating data visualizations for parent friendly presentation at IEP meetings.
  1. Practical Applications of AI:
  • Creating Social Stories with Pictures: Using AI to develop personalized social stories for students.
  • Document Summarization: Automating the summarization of lengthy documents to save time.
