Grant Writing 201: Finding & Preparing for Grants

We have enough money, we don’t need grants! … Said no school psychologist, ever. Grant funding is out there and can make a big difference for your school site. This second webinar in our grant writing series will focus on three key aspects of the grant writing process: conducting a needs assessment at your school site; gathering data to support your proposed program; and finding a grant that can fund your program. This second session in our grant writing will take a deep dive into these subjects.
While all are welcome to attend, this session is recommended for those who have some grant experience or have watched Grant Writing 101. This session is the second in an ongoing series and will be followed by additional sessions that dive deeper into various aspects of the grant process. This webinar is recommended for experienced school psychologists, particularly those in administrative roles. A recording will be made available to all who register.
Dr. Barbara J. D’Incau is a Licensed Educational Psychologist working in the Tri-Counties Region of Southern California. She maintains a bilingual (Spanish/English) private practice in Educational Psychology, specializing in the evaluation and treatment of early child, childhood, adolescent and adult disorders including Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), learning disabilities, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and acquired brain injury (ABI), perinatal drug/alcohol exposure, and emotional and behavioral disorders. Dr. D’Incau specializes in school neuropsychological assessments. She completed a clinical internship in neuropsychology and pediatric health psychology at Children’s Hospital of Orange County. Dr. D’Incau has held Adjunct Professor positions in the Counseling/Clinical/School Psychology Program at UCSB and in Education and Psychology at California Lutheran University. Her research and consulting practice are focused upon improving integrated systems of care for children and youth.
Melanee Cottrill is CASP’s Executive Director. She has spent more than a decade working with nonprofit organizations, including a fundraising position wherein she was responsible for seeking grant funding for varied projects. Before joining the CASP team, she spent nearly a decade forming, funding, and advising nonprofit associations. Melanee is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Business Administration and serves on the California Society of Association Executives’ professional development committee. She has held various leadership positions in Toastmasters International and is a Distinguished Toastmaster, as well as a Past President of the Sacramento Valley Paralegal Association.
