Credentials held: Pupil Personnel Services (School Psychology), Education Specialist (mild/moderate disabilities with autism and EL authorizations), Child Welfare and Attendance (CWA)


Experience

Lucia was born and raised in Los Angeles, California to a family of educators. She completed her education at the California State University, Los Angeles and has been a school psychologist since 2020. Prior to her work as a school psychologist she worked as a special education teacher, teaching elementary and middle school- aged children with a variety of support needs. She has also provided inclusion facilitation for children with Down Syndrome in general education classrooms.

Currently, Lucia owns Bookworm Educational and Psychological Services Inc. which provides psychoeducational, inclusion, and academic assessments for individuals ages 3 and older, in addition to consultation, inclusion facilitation, and professional development for educators, school psychologists, and support staff.

She completed her Masters of Arts degree in Special Education in 2016, and her Masters of Science degree in Counseling, School Psychology in 2020. Lucia became a Licensed Educational Psychologist with the state of California in 2022. Along the way, Lucia has worked on multiple grant- funded projects at both the University of California, Los Angeles, and the California State University, Los Angeles that aim to support and train educators. Additionally, she has had extensive training in working with individuals with behavior support needs.​

Today, Lucia supports the Southern California region as a Licensed Educational Psychologist, is an adjunct professor, and supports local non- profit organizations that service individuals with disabilities.
