School Psychologist – Santa Maria

To provide psychological services to the Santa Barbara County Education Office programs, students, staff, teachers, and parents, including consultation, assessment, testing, counseling, and inservice training within the service designation.

Representative Duties:

• To provide psychological services to the Santa Barbara County Education Office programs, students, staff, teachers, and parents, including consultation, assessment, testing, counseling, and inservice training within the service designation.
• Coordinate and provide consultation of educational services provided to exceptional pupils.
• Provide in-service training to general and special education teachers, parents, and paraeducators in effective procedures for meeting the educational, social, behavioral and emotional needs of students with disabilities.
• Act as administrative designee/chairperson of Individualized Educational Program (IEP) meetings relative to students served by the program.
• Conduct individual, culturally appropriate psychological, and educational assessments; provide in-depth interpretation of data.
• Develop assessment reports that include all legally required components.
• Provide counseling services on both an individual and group basis for students with disabilities requiring such services.
• Provide counseling for parents of students with disabilities requiring such services.
• Direct the assigned responsibilities of intern school psychologists.
• Assist in the design of data-gathering techniques and processes involved in the evaluation of special programs.
• Initiate, reciprocate, and work cooperatively with other social agencies and school districts involved with the students served.
• Assist administration on special projects as needed.
• Communicate assessment data and recommendations of the Individualized Education Program (IEP) Team to individual staff providers of service when appropriate.
• Perform related duties as assigned. 

Qualifications:

Possession of a valid California Pupil Personnel Services Credential; verification of CBEST clearance. Experience and/or training appropriate to fulfill requirements of the position. Possession of a valid California Driver’s License if required by the duties of the assignment.

Salary
$108,028 – $137,557/year + $800 MA Stipend (Non-Bilingual)
$113,362 – $144,521/year + $800 MA Stipend (Bilingual)
